Subcommittees
A number of formal Subcommittees are formed to undertake specific tasks and/or address specific issues and report back to the Association's membership. Current Subcommittees of the Association include:

The Editorial Committee is reponsible for production and distribution of the Association's flagship journal Australian Archaeology.

Annual Conference Subcommittee
Chair: Matthew Spriggs, Australian National University
The Annual Conference Subcommittee is reponsible for organising the Association's annual national conference.
Information Technology Subcommittee
Chair: Samantha Bolton
The Information Technology Subcommittee is responsible for maintenance and development of the Association's website and membership database as well as electronic archiving of Australian Archaeology.

National Archaeology Week Subcommittee
Chair: Michael Westaway
The Archaeology Week Subcommittee is responsible for organising the Association's major sponsorship of National Archaeology Week third week of May.
Code of Ethics Review Subcommittee

To undertake ongoing review the AAA Code of Ethics.

Chair: Wendy Beck
To encourage excellence in archaeological teaching and learning in Australia.
Prizes and Awards Subcommittee
Chair: Val Attenbrow
To administer all prizes and awards offered by the Australian Archaeological Association Inc.
